It is not known who her parents were but presumably a brother of Elizabeth Hodge nee Lucas. In 1861 census, Harriet was living at Exeter St Thomas The Apostle, unmarried seamstress (RG9/1389/71a/18). In Dec qtr 1866 at St Thomas she married James Wilson and they had many children. Joanna (Johanna or Jane) Lucas appears to be married to John Lucas who was probably Elizabeth's brother. However, they had a series of children including a Hariett in c1822 who was still alive in 1841 so Joanna was not the mother of Harriet born 1840. |
