He agreed not to contract matrimony within the term of seven years. His marriage occurred immediately after the seven years were up.

The most likely baptism is that of Martha Cheyney on 26 Jan 1717 [probably 1717/18] at Radley, Berkshire, dau of John & Sarah Cheyney (ref Ancestry England Select Births & Christenings).
