Points of connection with other family members: 1) Niece of sister Sarah and William King in 1861 census belongs to no other brother (probably Harriet Sophia Bysouth born 1846). 2) Joseph's daughter-in-law Alice nee Thompson emigrated to Australia with brother Robert's wife Margaret nee Perrey. 3) No other Bysouth family having children in Reed at the time. 4) Married in same church in London as sister Sarah. Marr reg Sep qtr 1845 at St Saviour dist to Harriet DAVIS (ref FreeBMD). The banns were read 11, 18, 25 May, both of the parish. .Reference the marriage certificate, married 6th July 1845. Harriet was a silk weaver of 1 Fuller St, Bethnal Green, dau of William Davis, carpenter. Joseph was a porter, of 27 Pennington Street, St Georges East, son of Samuel Bysouth, labourer. The witnesses were William King and Sarah King (Joseph's sister and brother in law). Harriet Louisa DAVIS was bap 29 Jul 1827 at Farningham, Kent, dau of William Davis and Sophia (ref IGI). She was born 12 Nov 1824 at 6 Georges St, Camberwell, dau of William Davis and Sophia Lane, middle name sometimes spelt Luisa (ref book inscription of William Davis noted by Jefferies Genealogy). At baptism of Harriet in 1846 they were at 111 Pennington St, he was a labourer. At the 1848 baptism he was a labourer of Eltham, Kent.
