"James Tay Sojourner in this Parish and Phebe Coombs of this Parish were married in this church by Banns this 2 Mar 1786 by me William Prowse Curate. This marriages was solemnized between us James Tay, Phebe Coombs (both signed) in the presence of Ralph Shoate, the Mark of Daniel Rossiter" (ref Ancestry Somerset Marriage Registers, Camerton Parish, image). James was bap 1 Dec 1757 at Camerton, Somerset, son of Samuel & Mary (ref Ancestry Somerset CofE Baps image). Deaths not found. To find their children, all of Lyncombe & Widcombe baptism images were searched, and all other parts of England were searched by indexes of Ancestry and Findmypast. Four children were found, and are in the TAY tree. FROM WHOM ELIZABETH SHADE NEE GRIERSON IS DESCENDED. |
