	James SAREL (Searle, Serle) and Susanna SPARKES James SAREL married Susanna SPARKES on 27 Sep 1789 at Kenton, Devon (ref IGI, M051251, 0916851). Bap of Susanna Sparkes not definitely identified. She was born c1766 (wide margin) in Devon (ref 1841 census). James is not found in the Kenton records. Many of the Devon records have not been put in the IGI so it is only guesswork as to where he came from. The spellings Searle, Serle, Sarel, Sarell etc appear to be interchangeable. There is a possible family at Saint Paul, Exeter, Devon, 4 children of John Sarell and Joan, being Robert Sarell (1754), Samuel Sarell (1755), Jenny Searle (1758) and James Sarell (1768) (though only the father is given for him so not absolutely proof that they are all of the same family, but it seems likely).
