EDWARDS Born c1773 (ref his burial). All of William's children seem to have been born in Middlesex, and at some time before 1841, William and most of his children moved to Greenwich. There are several possible baptisms of William Edwards in London round about 1773. His name and occupation (Park Keeper) is given in the marriage certificate of son Charles John in 1843. It is possible that he was married to Charlotte, surname unknown, if the 1805 baptism of daughter Charlotte is correct (see next generation). His wife had died by 1841. Ref 1841 census. Not born in Kent. [I believe her to be his daughter-in-law] Matilda Edwards. Age 4. Born in Kent. [granddaughter] Emily Pye. Age 18. F.S. Not born in Kent. [Emily married in 1844 Henry Edwards, William's son] William Edwards died 13 July 1843, age 70, his abode Greenwich Park, buried 20 July 1843 at St Alphage parish, Greenwich (ref Ancestry London deaths and burials). The photo album containing photos of the Hake, Hemsley and Edwards family members has been the means of connecting and enabling the assumption that Charlotte who married into the Hemsley family and whose daughter married into the Hake family, is part of the same Edwards family - some of whom are named in the album. Another connecting link is that a person who was present at Charlotte's death was her brother Henry's wife Emily.
